Frustrated With Shingle Choices—Tamko and Atlas Driving Me Nuts

I'm knee-deep in researching shingles for our roof replacement, and honestly, I'm about ready to pull my hair out. Narrowed it down to Tamko and Atlas, but every time I think I've made up my mind, I stumble across another horror story or glowing review that flips everything upside down again. Tamko seems solid at first glance, but then I read about warranty nightmares and granule loss issues. Atlas looks promising with their algae resistance and supposedly better warranty, but then someone pops up saying their shingles curled after just a few years. I mean, come on...is it really this complicated? Feels like I'm stuck in some endless loop of indecision. My roofer says both are fine, but that's not exactly helping me sleep at night. Curious if anyone else has been stuck in this same shingle limbo or if I'm just overthinking the whole thing.

I actually looked into green roofs briefly when redoing my garage last year. Seemed cool at first, but honestly, the extra weight and maintenance kinda put me off. Ended up going with Atlas shingles—no regrets so far. They've held up fine through a couple rough storms already. Green roofs might be great for smaller projects, but not sure I'd want that hassle on a full-size house.
