Had a nor’easter rip through here last fall—used one of those so-called “roofing tarps” from the big box store. It lasted maybe four days before the wind shredded it, even with 2x4 battens and screws. Tried adhesive once, but it just made a mess and didn’t help much. Honestly, unless you’re in dead calm, tarps are just a stopgap.
