That’s spot on. I replaced the roof on my ‘77 workshop last year and found a few cracked rafters—wouldn’t have noticed until it started bowing. Malarkey shingles went on easy, but honestly, if your structure can’t handle the weight or a sudden downpour, even the best shingles won’t save you. Always check what’s underneath before you upgrade.
