That’s pretty much how it goes—sometimes a quick patch is just what you need to get through a stormy week or until you can budget for a proper repair. I’ve had a “temporary” fix on my shed roof that’s held up for three years now, but I’m always checking it after heavy rain. Prep really is the key, like you said. It’s easy to feel like you’re just kicking the can down the road, but honestly, sometimes that’s the most practical option given time or money constraints. Not every fix needs to be perfect, just good enough to keep things dry for now.
