Finally got solar panels installed on my 1950s ranch. Was worried about the roof structure and wiring, but it turned out pretty painless. Already seeing lower bills, feels kinda awesome tbh. Anyone else done something similar with older homes?

Good to hear your install went smoothly. Older roofs can definitely handle solar, but sometimes the rafters or sheathing need reinforcement first. Did your installer mention any structural upgrades, or was your roof already solid enough? Curious how common that is...
