Tried laying out a tarp below the work zone, but it kept bunching up or blowing around.
Yeah, tarps are more trouble than they're worth on a steep pitch. I've tried those foam gutter inserts—honestly, they help a bit but don’t block everything. Best luck I’ve had is running a strip of 2x4 or some wood just above the gutter as a mini barrier while working. Not perfect, but slows down the mess. Gravity’s always gonna win some rounds though...
