keeping snow off the roof without breaking your neck
Last winter I got fed up with climbing up to shovel snow off my roof every other day, so I finally installed those snow guards and heating cables. First, I put in the guards along the edge to stop big chunks sliding off. Then ran heating cables in a zigzag pattern along the eaves and gutters. Seems to work pretty good so far, but I'm wondering if anyone has a simpler or cheaper way to deal with heavy snow buildup?
