I've been hearing more and more about these drones that fly over your roof to check for damage and stuff. I mean, it sounds cool at first, but honestly, I'm not totally sold on the idea yet. Last week, my neighbor had one of those inspections done, and the drone was buzzing around like some giant mosquito for half an hour. It was pretty annoying actually, lol.
But my main gripe is, can a drone really spot everything a human inspector would? Like, sure, it can probably see obvious stuff like missing shingles or big cracks, but what about the subtle things—a soft spot or something hidden under debris? I dunno... feels kinda risky to trust a flying camera over someone actually climbing up there and poking around.
Maybe I'm just being old-school or paranoid though. Curious if other folks have had experiences with these drone inspections—good or bad.
