Just finished installing some GAF shingles on my roof, and now I'm looking at ridge vents. Here's what I did: checked GAF's site, matched vent specs to shingle type, and made sure airflow ratings lined up. Seems straightforward, but maybe I'm missing something...anyone got better tips or tricks?

Sounds like you're already on the right track. Honestly, people tend to overcomplicate ridge vents. I remember a job a few years back where the homeowner insisted on some fancy vent system that promised miracles... ended up performing exactly the same as the standard GAF-recommended vents. If you've matched specs and airflow, you're golden. Trust your prep workβyou're probably more thorough than most pros I've seen out there.
