Eagle Roofing is definitely a solid choice, I've had good experiences with them on several properties. Another brand worth considering is Boral—durable, reliable, and their customer support has been pretty responsive whenever we've needed clarification on warranty specifics.
I've heard good things about Eagle too, but has anyone else noticed their tiles seem a bit heavier than Boral's? When I redid my roof, I ended up going with Boral mostly because of weight considerations (my home's an older build and I didn't want to risk extra structural reinforcements). I'm curious if anyone else factored tile weight into their decision or if it was just me overthinking things...
I totally get it—you're not alone! When we redid ours, I obsessed over tile weight too. Our contractor laughed (nicely!) because I kept asking about structural integrity. Went with Boral in the end, mostly for peace of mind...and my wallet appreciated skipping extra reinforcement costs.
Haha, glad I'm not the only one worrying about tiles collapsing the roof! When I first started apprenticing, I drove my mentor nuts asking if we needed extra beams or supports every time we loaded up tiles. He finally sat me down, did some math on a napkin (seriously), and showed me how much roofs can actually handle. We use Eagle tiles a lot lately—pretty solid stuff, decent price, and no napkin math required yet...but I'll keep Boral in mind.

Definitely appreciate the peace of mind factor. Roof anxiety is real.
When I bought my first house, I had the same anxiety—spent way too many nights googling roof load calculations and tile weights. Ended up going with Eagle tiles too, mostly because the contractor recommended them and the specs looked solid. No napkin math here either, but I did run some quick numbers myself just to sleep better at night. Glad I'm not alone in the roof paranoia club...
