I’m with you - after our first hailstorm here in Texas, I realized “impact resistant” doesn’t mean “invincible.” We’ve got Boral tiles and I noticed a couple chips right at the edges, which seems pretty common. One thing I learned the hard way: always check the underlayment and overlaps, like you mentioned. Even a small gap can turn into a leak fast. If I had to do it again, I’d probably ask more questions about the install, not just the brand. The look of tile is great, but it’s definitely more hands-on than I expected...
