I'm about to redo my kitchen floor tiles and I'm kinda stuck between cement board and uncoupling membrane. I've heard cement board is sturdy and reliable, but a buddy of mine swears by the membrane stuff—says it's lighter, easier to install, and better at preventing cracks long-term. Honestly, I'm leaning toward the membrane just to save my back, you know? But is it really as durable as cement board? Curious what you guys think or if anyone has experience with both.
