RE: Metal roofing on low pitches: what’s your go-to?
I hear you on the peace of mind, but honestly, I just couldn’t justify the cost of peel-and-stick for my place. I went with a good synthetic underlayment and taped seams - yeah, it took more time, but it’s held up fine t...
RE: Anyone else tried those heated driveway mats?
Heated mats always seemed like a luxury to me - just can’t justify the extra electric bill, especially when shoveling is free (minus the backache). I get the appeal if you’ve got mobility issues or a really steep drive, ...

RE: Roofing roulette: whose warranty saves the day?
Totally agree about warranties being mostly useless. Had a similar experience myself - roof started leaking after a nasty hailstorm, and guess what? Warranty didn't cover "acts of nature." Like, seriously, what else is g...
