After last year's wildfire scare, I figured I better do something about the vents on my attic. Did some reading and ended up swapping out the regular mesh screens with finer metal mesh (1/8 inch openings). Took me a weekend—removed old screens, cut new mesh to size, stapled them in place, then sealed edges with fire-resistant caulk. Seems solid enough, but I'm no expert. Wondering if there's a smarter or easier way to do this kinda thing?
