Spent the weekend putting up Atlas StormMaster Slate shingles on the roof, and gotta say, they look pretty sharp. One thing I learned the hard way though—these shingles are thicker than regular ones, so if you're DIY-ing it, grab yourself some longer roofing nails. Regular ones just barely cut it, and trust me, you don't wanna be halfway through and realize you gotta run back to the store. Curious if anyone else ran into little quirks like this or has other tips to share.
