Had some shingles ripped clean off during that crazy wind last week, grabbed some roofing sealant from the hardware store and patched it up myself. Seems okay for now, but um...anyone else tried this stuff, does it really hold up long-term?

- Quick fixes can buy you some time, but sealant alone usually won't last through heavy weather.
- Had a similar issue once... held up okay for a few months, then started leaking again.
- Might wanna keep an eye on it—could work short-term, but don't count on it forever.
