Yeah, same here. We went mid-range thinking it'd be good enough, but after just two years, it's already sounding creaky in spots. Guess daily life—pets, furniture moves, random dance parties—takes a bigger toll than those tests account for, haha.

Haha, totally feel you on the random dance parties. We splurged on premium underlayment thinking it'd last forever, but barely three years in and I'm already noticing soft spots. Makes me wonder how realistic those durability ratings really are...

Yeah, those durability ratings are usually based on ideal conditions—basically, no real-life chaos allowed, haha. I remember when we redid our floors after a storm, we went for the "ultra-durable" stuff. Fast forward two years, and between the dog zoomies and kids dragging furniture around, it's already showing wear. Guess real life is just tougher than lab tests... or maybe we just dance too hard?

Same here—we went with a premium underlayment thinking it'd hold up better. Followed installation instructions meticulously, step-by-step. But after just a year of regular foot traffic and a few furniture rearrangements, it's already compressing in spots... guess real-world use wasn't in their testing protocol?

Yeah, makes you wonder... I've always suspected those warranty claims are based on ideal lab conditions. Has anyone tried doubling up thinner, cheaper underlayments instead of one premium layer? Curious if that'd hold up better long-term.
