Random fact I stumbled on today: apparently, if you start noticing granules from your shingles piling up in the gutters or driveway, that's your roof's subtle way of saying it's getting old. Kinda like roof dandruff, lol. Anyone else heard of this or got other weird roof trivia?

Funny you mention the granules thingβI used to think that too, until I worked with an old roofer who swore up and down it wasn't always a big deal. He said some granule loss is normal, especially right after installation or after heavy storms. Told me about a roof he installed decades ago that shed granules like crazy at first but ended up lasting way past its warranty. So yeah, it's worth keeping an eye on, but I wouldn't panic just yet...
