Still, no matter what, I always find one random clipping days later... usually right in the middle of the hallway.
That’s the story of my life. I’ve tried clipping over a trash can, towel, even in the bathtub—doesn’t matter. Those little things escape like they’re on a mission. I’m skeptical about the lint roller trick, though. Maybe it works for some, but I always end up with half a clipping stuck to my sock anyway. At this point, I just accept that finding a rogue nail bit days later is part of the deal, like a weird household scavenger hunt nobody asked for.
I swear, I once found a toenail clipping in the laundry room weeks after I’d vacuumed the place top to bottom. It’s like they teleport. I even started using a paper plate as a “landing pad” but nope—still get that one renegade piece showing up somewhere weird.
It’s like they teleport.
I’ve had the same thing happen, and I’m convinced they stick to socks or pant legs and hitch a ride. Ever tried clipping over a trash can instead of a plate? Wondering if that actually makes a difference or just as pointless.
I swear, no matter how careful you are, those clippings end up everywhere—like trying to keep granules on a roof after a hailstorm. I’ve tried the trash can trick and, honestly, it helps a bit if you’re steady-handed, but one wrong move and they’re bouncing off the rim and vanishing. I’m convinced half of ‘em stick to your pants and you find them later in the weirdest spots. Maybe next time I’ll just go outside and let the birds deal with ‘em...

That’s pretty much it. No matter how careful you are, those things have a mind of their own. I’ve tried clipping over a towel, thinking it’d catch everything, but then I end up shaking the towel out and finding clippings days later. Reminds me of cleaning up after a hailstorm—think you’ve got it all, then you step on a stray one. Not sure there’s a perfect fix, but outside does sound tempting.
