Just got my latest electricity bill and, um, let's just say it wasn't pretty. I've been looking into ways to cut down on energy use without turning my house into an igloo in winter or a sauna in summer (you know how it is). Came across some stuff about special coatings you can apply to roofs or even windows that supposedly help reflect heat and keep indoor temps stable. Honestly, I'm a bit skepticalβsounds kinda gimmicky to me.
Has anyone here tried these coatings on their homes? Did you notice any real difference in your energy bills afterward? Or is this just another one of those things that sounds good but doesn't really pan out? Would love some honest opinions before I spend money on something that might just be snake oil.
