We had our roof redone a few years back, and I swear within months the mold was already creeping in. Maybe it's just our humid climate or the trees shading the house, but it drove me nuts. Anyway, did some digging around and found out there's shingles now specifically made to keep mold at bay. They're treated with copper granules or something like that, apparently mold absolutely hates copper—who knew?
Had them installed last summer, and honestly it's been a game changer. Roof looks clean as ever, even after all the rain we've had lately. Wish I'd known about these earlier; would've saved me a lot of frustration (and probably money too).
Curious if anyone else has tried these or maybe has other tricks up their sleeve for dealing with stubborn roof mold. Always open to more tips!

Yeah, the copper-treated shingles really do make a difference. Had them installed on a few properties I manage, and it's cut down significantly on maintenance headaches. Another thing I've noticed helps is trimming back overhanging branches—gives the roof more sunlight and airflow. Have you tried combining both? Might be worth looking into if the mold ever starts creeping back...
