Decided to repurpose some old asphalt shingles I had lying around into a neat edging for my gravel driveway. First, I cut them into strips about 6 inches wide, then dug a shallow trench along the driveway edge, maybe 3 inches deep. Laid the strips in overlapping slightly, packed dirt around them, and tamped it down good. Looks decent so far, but um...wondering if anyone's tried something similar or has tips to make it last longer?
