We moved to a super rainy area last year, and our old roof started leaking within months. Long story short, we ended up going with metal roofing, and honestly, it's been a lifesaverβno leaks, no mold, and the sound of rain hitting it is kinda soothing (bonus points for free ASMR, lol). Anyway, just thought I'd share in case anyone else is considering options. Curious what other folks have tried or swear by in wet climates...

Metal roofing definitely works wellβgood call there. If anyone's not into metal, though, properly installed architectural shingles with a solid waterproof underlayment can also hold up great. Key is regular gutter cleaning and checking for debris buildup... learned that the hard way myself.
