I’ve tested a couple of those “eco” ice melts—one was beet juice-based, the other claimed to be pet-safe. Honestly, the beet one stained my concrete and didn’t work much better than sand. The pet-safe stuff was okay for light frost but struggled with thicker ice. I’d say they’re hit or miss, and definitely pricier. Anyone else notice they tend to clump up if you don’t use them fast?
