Haha, aliens damaging roofs... now that's a warranty I'd actually read. But seriously, isn't it wild how warranties always seem to cover everything except the exact thing that happens to you? Glad you've found solid local roofers though—those guys usually know their stuff. Plus, budgeting for repairs sounds way less stressful than playing warranty roulette every storm season. Sounds like you've cracked the code on roofing peace of mind.

Haha, warranties are like umbrellas that vanish the second it rains. Had a tenant once whose roof got damaged by a rogue drone—no joke—and the warranty folks said it counted as an "aircraft incident," not covered. Wonder if alien ships count as aircraft too?

Haha, that's wild...but honestly, warranties aren't always that slippery. Had a buddy whose roof got wrecked by hail—pretty standard stuff—and the warranty actually came through without much fuss. Maybe drones and aliens are just too exotic for the fine print? Still, I'd argue it's worth checking your homeowner's insurance for those weird "aircraft" moments; sometimes they surprise you and cover the strangest things.

- Good point about the hail damage—seen warranties cover that plenty of times.
- But drones and aliens? Haha, that's a new one for me. Wonder if they'd classify aliens as "acts of God" or just "unidentified flying objects"...
- Seriously though, homeowner's insurance can be surprisingly flexible. Had a client whose roof got damaged by fireworks debris from a neighbor's party—insurance stepped in without much hassle.
- Makes me curious now...would drone damage fall under aircraft coverage or vandalism? Guess it depends who's piloting it.
- Either way, always worth double-checking the fine print. You never know what's hiding in there.

That's pretty lucky. I had a friend whose solar shingles got cracked by falling branches during a storm, and the warranty was great about replacements, but insurance gave him the runaround at first. Took weeks of back-and-forth to prove it was storm-related and not neglect. Definitely pays to document everything thoroughly...you never know when you'll need it.
