I've noticed similar results with Highlander NEX, especially regarding granule retention. Had a roof I installed about four years ago go through a pretty nasty hailstorm last spring, and honestly, it held up better than expected. Vista AR might have a slight edge in heat reflection, but unless you're dealing with extreme heat regularly, the difference probably isn't noticeable enough to justify the extra cost. Curious though, has anyone seen noticeable energy savings from the reflective granules in real-world use?

Fair point, but I've had a couple homeowners mention their attic spaces felt noticeably cooler after switching to Vista AR. Could be anecdotal, but maybe there's more to it than just extreme climates...?

I've heard similar things from homeowners, but I wonder how much of that is perception vs. actual measurable difference? We did a job last summer with Vista AR, and the attic felt cooler to me too... but was it enough to justify the extra cost? Hard to say.
