I recently found out that using binoculars from the ground is a pretty neat way to quickly spot missing shingles or damage without climbing up there. Saved me some hassle...anyone else got good roof-checking hacks or shortcuts?

Binoculars, huh? Never thought of that, but makes sense...beats hauling the ladder out every time there's a storm. I've always been skeptical about shortcuts (cheap usually means trouble later), but this sounds practical enough. Personally, I just wait for a rainy day and peek into the atticβif there's a leak, you'll spot it quick. Still, your method seems handy for spotting issues before they get serious or expensive. Might give it a shot next time.
