I swear, every single autumn it's the same story. Leaves start falling, and suddenly my gutters become a magnet for every leaf, twig, and random debris in the neighborhood. Last weekend I spent almost two hours up on a shaky ladder scooping out soggy leaves and who-knows-what-else from my gutters. Honestly, it's gross and kinda sketchy balancing up there.
I've seen some ads online about those gutter guard things or mesh covers, but I'm skeptical. Do they actually work or is it just another gimmick to waste money on? My neighbor installed some fancy-looking covers last year, but I still see him climbing up there occasionally, so I'm not convinced.
Just wondering if anyone else gets as annoyed as I do with this yearly chore. Have you found anything that actually keeps the gutters clear without needing constant maintenance? Or am I doomed to spend every October risking my neck on a ladder?
