Had a bit of a gutter disaster last weekend—rain pouring down, water spilling over the sides, total mess. Climbed up there (carefully, mind you) and found out the seams were leaking pretty bad. Didn't have time or cash to call someone out right away, so I tried something I saw online: aluminum foil tape. Yeah, sounds kinda sketchy, but hear me out.
Cleaned the area real good first, dried it off completely, then slapped on some heavy-duty aluminum foil tape from the hardware store. Pressed it down firmly and smoothed out any bubbles. Honestly wasn't expecting much, but it's been raining off and on all week and no leaks yet. Pretty impressed for a quick DIY hack.
Curious if anyone else has tried this or has another quick fix that's worked well? I'm guessing this won't last forever, but hey, buys me some time till I can get it properly sorted.
