So I was thinking about a story idea where this guy installs these new shingles on his roof that have tiny sensors built in. At first, they're just supposed to detect leaks and stuff, but soon he notices they seem to know more - like when he's home, when he's awake at night, even who visits his house. Creepy, right? Could turn into a thriller or maybe something funny...dunno yet. Anyone got ideas where this could go next?

Reminds me of when my uncle got one of those smart thermostats. At first, he loved it - until it started adjusting itself based on his mood or something. Maybe your shingles start making decisions for him...like locking out visitors they don't approve of? Could get weird fast.
