I've been looking into water filtration systems lately, and I'm kinda stuck between ceramic and polymer membrane filters. I've heard ceramic membranes are pretty durable and can handle harsher cleaning methods, like scrubbing or chemical treatments, without getting damaged. But then again, polymer membranes seem cheaper and easier to replace if something goes wrong.

Thing is, I'm not exactly the most diligent when it comes to maintenance routines (you know, life happens...), so I'm leaning towards whichever type is less of a hassle to keep clean and functioning properly. Anyone here have experience with either type? Like, is ceramic really that much easier to maintain, or is polymer actually less trouble in the long run?
