Closed-cell foam does wonders for thermal, but yeah, moisture can be tricky. We did a similar setup on a commercial job last year—ended up adding a vapor barrier and some passive vents. No issues yet, fingers crossed...

Good call on checking the attic first. Last winter, I inspected a place where the homeowner had condensation dripping from the ceiling—thought it was a roof leak. Turns out, poor insulation and lack of airflow were causing moisture buildup, especially around recessed lights and vent pipes. Passive vents alone didn't do much there either. Sometimes just tweaking insulation and sealing gaps can save you from investing in pricey equipment you might not even need...
Modified bitumen roofs can be tricky—are you dealing with a vented attic underneath or is it a sealed setup? Seen plenty of condensation issues come from misunderstanding the roof system. Air sealing gaps helps, but have you checked if there's enough insulation depth overall?
