Man, the idea of just slapping another layer on sounds so tempting when you’re staring at a mountain of shingles to tear off. But yeah, I keep hearing horror stories about folks finding soft spots or even full-on rot years later. Does anyone actually feel confident using just a moisture meter? I tried one once and honestly, it felt like trying to read tea leaves. Maybe I’m just paranoid, but I’d rather deal with the mess now than moldy surprises later... Am I overthinking it?
