Had a pretty rough time after the last hurricane rolled through, and we ended up with some serious roof damage. FEMA stepped in and helped cover some of the costs, but honestly, it was kind of a headache figuring out what exactly they would and wouldn't pay for. Felt like I was jumping through hoops just to get some shingles replaced, you know? I'm curious if my experience was typical or if others had an easier go of it.
Quick poll for everyone here: how helpful was FEMA when you needed roof repairs?
1. Super helpful, covered most or all of the costs.
2. Somewhat helpful, covered partial costs but lots of paperwork.
3. Barely helpful, hardly covered anything.
4. Not helpful at all, ended up paying out of pocket.
5. Didn't even bother applying.
Feel free to share your own stories too, because man, this whole process was more confusing than assembling IKEA furniture without instructions...
