"Maybe it depends on your local climate or attic insulation?"

Yeah, climate definitely plays a big role. In my case, installing a solar fan helped balance humidity too, but I also upgraded my soffit vents around the same time. Might be worth checking yours as well...

I had similar issues with humidity, but the solar fan alone didn't quite do it for me. Ended up adding some extra insulation afterward, and that finally seemed to help. Guess every attic has its quirks...

Haha, ain't that the truth. But honestly, insulation didn't do much for me. I went down the rabbit hole of sealing every tiny gap and crack I could find—felt like playing whack-a-mole with drafts. Eventually, I realized my soffit vents were blocked by years of dust and spiderwebs (gross, I know). Cleared those out, and suddenly the attic could breathe again. Sometimes it's not about adding stuff, but just letting things flow... who knew?

Yeah, totally agree with this. When I first moved in, I thought more insulation was the answer too. But after sweating buckets up there, I realized airflow matters way more. Installed a ridge vent and made sure the soffits were clear—huge difference. Honestly, attic work feels like trial and error half the time... you just gotta keep tweaking until something clicks.

You're spot on about airflow—it's often overlooked. Insulation helps, sure, but without proper ventilation, you're basically trapping heat and moisture. I've seen plenty of cases where homeowners pack in insulation thinking it'll solve everything, only to find mold issues cropping up later. Ridge vents paired with clear soffits are usually the best combo... solar fans can help too, but placement and sizing are critical. Like you said, it really is a bit of trial and error sometimes.
