Well, it's been about two weeks now, and I gotta say, I'm genuinely impressed. The attic used to feel like a sauna by mid-afternoon, especially on sunny days. Now, it's noticeably cooler—like, I can actually go up there without feeling like I'm stepping into an oven. Plus, since it's solar-powered, it's not adding anything extra to my electric bill, which is always a nice bonus.

The thermostat kicks in automatically when the attic hits a certain temp, so I don't even have to think about it anymore. Nice upgrade! Installed something similar last summer, and it's been solid. Just make sure your soffit vents are clear too; good airflow makes a huge difference... learned that the hard way, haha.
Good call on the soffit vents—I overlooked mine at first, thinking the fan alone would be enough. Nope, airflow is king. Ended up crawling around in insulation (not my favorite weekend activity, mind you) to clear out some blocked vents. The difference afterward was night and day.
