Would you worry about lightning if your house had a metal roof?

Funny you mention the noise - first time we had a hailstorm, I thought the roof was gonna come down. Right there with you. I’ll take a little “popcorn machine” action over buckets in the living room any day. As for lightning, I was paranoid at first, but after reading up (and seeing my neighbor’s shingle roof get zapped instead), I’m convinced it’s not the metal roof that’s the issue - it’s whether your house is grounded properly.
