Seriously, it's 2023 and my neighbor just warned me not to get a metal roof cuz it'll "attract lightning." Um... pretty sure that's not how it works. Anyone else dealing with this outdated advice from family or neighbors?

Haha, yeah, I've heard that one too. When we got our metal roof a few years back, my uncle was convinced we'd be lightning central. 🙄 Had to gently explain that lightning goes for the tallest point, not necessarily metal. Honestly, people just repeat what they've heard without checking facts sometimes... Good on you for doing your own research though—metal roofs are awesome and totally worth it.
