Last night lying awake, I wondered if the whole "metal roof equals noisy rainstorm" thing is legit or just another urban legend. Imagine being stuck in a cabin during a storm... cozy or chaos? Curious what others think.

Honestly, the whole noisy metal roof thing is a bit exaggerated. Modern metal roofs usually have insulation and underlayment layers that dampen sound significantly. Sure, if you're picturing an old tin shed, yeah, it'll be loud. But a properly installed metal roof on a cabin? More cozy than chaos, I'd say. I've inspected plenty of homes with metal roofs, and most homeowners actually find the rain sounds soothing rather than disruptive.
