Ripping into a roof in freezing temps can make things worse, especially if you don’t have the right stuff handy.
That makes sense—I keep reading that cold-weather repairs can crack shingles or just not seal right. Did you end up having to deal with water getting inside, or did the tarp hold up okay? I’ve been wondering if there’s a specific type of tarp or tape that actually works better for winter. My place has a low-slope roof and I’m worried about snow piling up and making leaks worse. Do people usually just wait for a thaw, or is there something else I should be looking out for?
