- Good points about ridge caps, but honestly, sometimes the real sneaky issues are underneath—like moisture buildup or insulation gaps.

True, but regular green roofing setups can simplify things a bit...less guesswork, more predictable performance.

Green roofs definitely have their perks, but they're not exactly maintenance-free either. I've seen a few setups where drainage wasn't planned right, and suddenly you've got a mini swamp up there...not fun. Moisture buildup underneath is sneaky for sure—had a job last month where insulation gaps caused condensation issues nobody noticed until the ceiling started staining. Roofs really do have their own language sometimes, huh?

Yeah, been there, done that...my roof's been whispering (more like yelling) at me for months now. Thought I'd save some cash by DIY-ing a green roof patch—big mistake. Turns out drainage isn't just a fancy extra, it's kinda essential. Ended up with my own rooftop marshland and some very confused birds. Lesson learned: sometimes being budget-conscious means knowing when to call in the pros before your ceiling starts crying.
