Ugh, we're finally biting the bullet and getting our roof replaced next month, and honestly, I'm already stressed just thinking about it. Everyone keeps saying it's no big deal, but I can't help picturing nails everywhere, flattened flower beds, and random shingles scattered across my yard. Plus, the noise...I work from home most days, and I'm pretty sure constant hammering isn't exactly Zoom-call friendly.

I've tried reading up on how to prep for this whole ordeal, but every article seems either overly optimistic or just plain vague. Like, "move your car out of the driveway"—um, thanks Captain Obvious. But what about protecting stuff inside the attic? Or dealing with pets who freak out at loud noises? And is it normal to worry about damage to gutters or siding during the process?

Maybe I'm just overthinking this (wouldn't be the first time), but it'd be nice to hear from others who've been through it. Did your roof replacement go smoothly or was it as chaotic as I'm imagining?
