Just found out tile roofs can last like 50-100 years, sometimes even more... kinda blew my mind. Always assumed they'd need replacing way sooner. Wonder if that's accurate everywhere or depends on climate and stuff?

Yeah, tile roofs are pretty impressive. My neighbor's house has had the same tile roof since like the 60s, and it's still going strong. But climate definitely mattersβ€”if you're somewhere with harsh winters or frequent hailstorms, tiles can crack or chip more easily. Also, maintenance counts big-time... keeping debris off and replacing broken tiles promptly makes a huge difference. Still, compared to asphalt shingles that barely hit 20 years sometimes, tiles seem like a solid investment.
