So we just finished a pretty big roofing project, and I'm kinda proud because we got through the whole thing without a single injury or even a close call (knock on wood). Took forever to find a safety routine everyone actually sticks to, you know. Wondering if anyone else has had similar luck?

Nice job getting through without any mishaps—that's no small feat, especially with roofing. I've done a couple DIY roof repairs myself, and honestly, my "safety routine" mostly involved me yelling at my brother-in-law to stop leaning over the edge like he's immortal. Maybe I should take notes from you... Did you find it tough getting everyone on board at first, or did they just naturally fall into line after seeing it work?

Haha, sounds familiar... honestly, people only really started taking it seriously after someone nearly slid off the roof. Nothing like a close call to make everyone suddenly safety-conscious.

Haha yeah, it's funny how quickly attitudes shift after a scare. We had one guy who was always acting like harnesses were optional... until he slipped just enough to freak himself out. Didn't actually go over, but you should've seen his face—went pale as drywall mud. Ever since then, he's the one double-checking everyone's gear before we even climb up. Guess sometimes that's what it takes.

Yeah, sometimes a minor scare is the best teacher. We started doing quick toolbox talks before each job—just a few minutes to remind everyone of the basics. Seems simple, but it's made a noticeable difference for us too.
