Glad the support worked out for you. When I first got into green roofing, I had a similar experience—tons of sensors and monitoring tools felt overwhelming at first. Had a moisture sensor glitch out on me after heavy rain, but their tech support sorted it quickly with a firmware update. Definitely agree that good after-sales service makes all the difference, especially with newer tech.
Had something similar happen with my solar setup—firmware update fixed it, but honestly, shouldn't these companies test for heavy rain BEFORE selling sensors for roofs? Glad they sorted you out quick enough though...

Yeah, you'd think that'd be common sense, right? Reminds me of when I installed my own weather station—supposedly waterproof and rated for storms. First big downpour we had, the whole thing went offline. Climbed up there the next day and found water pooled inside the casing... so much for "weatherproof." Ended up sealing it myself with silicone, been fine ever since.
Makes me wonder how thorough their testing really is before they push these things out. Maybe they just assume most folks live in mild climates or something? Curious if anyone else has had to DIY a fix on supposedly "ready-to-use" roof gear.
Totally get your frustration—it's baffling how often companies overlook real-world conditions. Had a similar issue with some green roof moisture sensors; ended up waterproofing them myself. Seems like DIY fixes are becoming the norm rather than the exception these days...

Honestly, feels like half my job lately is patching up stuff that should've been done right the first time. Had a roof inspection last year with drone images that looked straight out of Blade Runner—cool tech, but totally missed a huge leak spot. Ended up climbing up myself with a flashlight and some sealant. Fancy reports are nice, but nothing beats actually looking at the problem yourself...
