Haha, your pizza bribery method is genius...might have to borrow that one next time. I went the drone route too and honestly, it was a lifesaver spotting the big issues upfront. Still, I couldn't shake the feeling that I might've missed something subtle—like those sneaky little leaks or loose shingles. Ended up climbing myself anyway (no pizza involved, sadly). But yeah, drones definitely make the initial inspection way less intimidating.

- Did the drone thing too, helped me catch a few major red flags upfront.
- Still ended up climbing the ladder myself afterward—just couldn't trust it 100%.
- Found a couple small loose shingles drones totally missed.
- My takeaway: drones great for initial checks, but nothing beats eyes-on for peace of mind.
- Maybe next time I'll try pizza bribery to get someone else up there...

Couldn't agree more. I've used drone inspections myself a few times, and they're fantastic for spotting obvious damage or big issues quickly. But they're definitely not foolproof—especially when it comes to subtle details like nail pops, cracked sealant around flashing, or even those sneaky loose shingles you mentioned.

One thing I've noticed is that drones often miss small areas of water intrusion under shingles because they're not lifting or physically checking anything. Sometimes the signs are just too subtle to catch from above. Plus, lighting and angles can make a huge difference in what the camera picks up.

In my experience, combining drone footage with a thorough manual inspection afterward is the sweet spot. You get the efficiency of tech plus the reassurance of hands-on verification...best of both worlds. And hey, pizza bribery never hurts either—just make sure it's good pizza!

Fair points, but honestly I've had manual inspections miss stuff drones caught clearly—especially in awkward roof valleys or steep pitches where inspectors don't always venture. Neither method's perfect alone; seems like pairing them up covers most blind spots. And yeah, pizza helps smooth things over...usually.

Drones definitely help, but they're not foolproof either—I've seen drone images miss subtle flashing issues or hairline cracks that only a close-up manual check caught. Combining methods is ideal, though I doubt pizza alone solves disputes over missed leaks...maybe beer?
