does repaired stuff always need another inspection?

I just learned something kinda interesting today—apparently, even after something gets repaired, it often needs another inspection before it's officially good to go. I mean, makes sense, right? But I never really thought about it. Like, if your car fails inspection and you fix whatever's wrong, you can't just drive off into the sunset...you gotta have someone check it again. Seems obvious now, but it got me wondering how common this is in other areas. Is it always necessary or are there exceptions?

In my experience, it really depends on what's being repaired and who's doing the fixing. With roofing, for instance, if it's a minor patch-up job done by someone experienced, a formal re-inspection isn't always necessary—especially if the homeowner trusts the contractor. But for bigger jobs or warranty claims, yeah, another inspection is pretty standard. So I'd say it's not always a must-have step...more like a judgment call based on the situation.
