I've been working on my deck for a while now, and I thought I had everything figured out, but turns out... nope. After the last heavy rain, I noticed water seeping in right where the deck meets the house. I did put flashing there when I built it, but maybe I didn't install it quite right or something? It's driving me nuts because I'm worried about long-term damage to the siding or even worse, structural issues down the road.
I watched a few YouTube vids and everyone seems to have their own way of doing it—some say tuck the flashing under the siding, others say over. Honestly, I'm a bit confused now. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of issue before? Maybe there's some trick or product I'm missing here. Would really appreciate any tips or experiences you guys might have had with this kinda thing.
