I've been hearing a bit lately about these special coatings you can put on your roof or walls that supposedly help keep your house cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Sounds kinda too good to be true, you know? I'm thinking about giving it a shot since our energy bills have been creeping up lately (thanks, inflation 🙄). Has anyone here tried these coatings? Did they actually make a noticeable difference, or is it mostly marketing hype?

Yeah, I get why you're skeptical. I've seen these coatings work decently in some cases, but honestly, proper insulation and attic ventilation usually make a bigger difference. Might wanna check those first before diving into coatings...
