So, last night I'm laying in bed and I swear my attic started whispering. Like this weird creaky breathing noise. Pretty sure it's related to the soffit vents or something, but now I'm imagining all kinds of creepy scenarios...anyone else ever get spooked by their own ventilation noises?

Yeah, ventilation noises can definitely mess with your head, especially late at night. When I first moved into my place, I kept hearing this weird sighing sound from the attic—turned out it was just the wind catching a loose vent cover. I'd suggest checking your soffit vents and attic insulation during daylight hours. Tightening things up or adding some insulation can really cut down on those creepy noises...and help you sleep better too.
